What if?
If Al-Queda had carried out terrorism in Japan and attacked, the Japanese government would not have been able to do anything in response. Japan, technically, does not have militaries and can not attack any other countries. The constitution prohibits Japan from maintaining military forces and from engaging in a war for settling international disputes. Under the U.S occupation after WWII, we only established a force called"Self-Defence Force" to protect ourselves from other country's attack. In terms of the armed force, it has the second strongest force in the world following that of the U.S military. However, it is disfunctional force because of the Japanese constitution. Today, Japan has faced on possibilities to be attacked by terrorists. Personally, Japan should seek voter response through a national referendum. Could Japan alter the constitution in the near future?
