Go to China to mine gold!!!!!

It is very famous among people to buy gold in China in these days. I can see many gold shops on the street. 歩けば金屋、美容室、銀行、不動産屋にぶつかる中国。この先これらが増えていくのか減っていくのかに注目。銀行もメインの銀行には沢山の人がいるけど、ローカル銀行にいくとガラガラ。もうその予兆が。。。We'll see what will happen to them.

What if?

If Al-Queda had carried out terrorism in Japan and attacked, the Japanese government would not have been able to do anything in response. Japan, technically, does not have militaries and can not attack any other countries. The constitution prohibits Japan from maintaining military forces and from engaging in a war for settling international disputes. Under the U.S occupation after WWII, we only established a force called"Self-Defence Force" to protect ourselves from other country's attack. In terms of the armed force, it has the second strongest force in the world following that of the U.S military. However, it is disfunctional force because of the Japanese constitution. Today, Japan has faced on possibilities to be attacked by terrorists. Personally, Japan should seek voter response through a national referendum. Could Japan alter the constitution in the near future?

If I were to get marry an American woman and stayed with her in Japan, my wife and I would have to deal with some problem. My hometown is countryside of Honsyu in Japan. Only 20,000 people live in the small town. Many people around you know where you come from, how many sibling you have, what your father and mother do, and which school you went. Not only do they know those information about you, but also they love to talk about others. If I were to get marry an American woman, it would be top news in my town for a while. I assume some advantages and disadvantages. My wife, she can work as an English teacher, but she might be in difficulty to find other jobs. If you were an American, some people would treat you very well. some people discriminate you as outsider. To be honest, we stillhave discrimination to foreigner, especially countryside. You would not need to follow Japanese traditional rules for women. It is hard tasks for general wives to help husband mother's work. Housbands' mother check how you help her when you go to husbands' house. However, if you were american wife, you do not do that because husbands' mother does not expect you do well. In general, it is important to consider relationship with husbands' family before they get marry.

Alito nomination for Supreme judge

President Bush nominated U.S. Court of Appeals Judge Samuel A. Alito to the Supreme Court in October 31. He replaced Justice Sandra Day O'Connor who is swing voter. At this time, why this nomination has been always in the headline is Harriet Miers withdrawal of the first nomination. In Hrriet Miers nomination, President Bush could not gain enough support among Republican members. However, Alito's nomination makes the Democrats bring about criticisms against Mr.Alito. I will discuss whether Mr.Alito is appropriate judge or not from my point of view.

Mr. Aito was a judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit for 15 years. He has long enough and outstanding experiences. As President Bush said at Alito's nomination, his records reveals thughtful judge who considers the legal merits and who had deep understanding of the role of a judge. Mr. Alito is worthy of the president Bush's and people's trust.

The other point the Democrats criticize is that Mr. Alito is "far right wing" or "too conservative".
Any judge should view and interpet the Constitution faithfully. According to their judicial philosophy, they should judge appropriately. At this point, Mr. Alito is unfailingly trustworthy and honest man. Although his stance on abortion issue is clearly pro life, it is not only issue he needs to judge. However, he should judge based on his judicial philosophy and the interpretation of the Constitution, not his political preference or priority.

Abortion is the most controversial issue in the United States. Since there are 9 judges including chief judge, it is very important to ocuppy 5 judges. Moreover, the incumbent President and the Senate has a solemn duty to nominate and approve judges who will reflect the Constitution. Most of the President in the past nominate the judge the same side as the President. If the Democrats were in power, they would choose liberal judge as well. Once judges were approved, they can continue to serve as judges as long as they can. Although the President and Senate need to nominate very carefully, they should hesitate their decision even among the Democrats criticisms.

As I mentioned before, we need a judge who knows the Constitution, who interprets the Constitution in the way our founding father did.

Addressing different readers

Memorandum

Dear my friend,

I understand how difficult to reduce watching TV. While we are just sitting on couch or sofa, TV gives us various interesting things such as movies, dramas, news, commedies, and so on. I would not say it is bad to watch TV. However, we have to control ourselves and our life schedule. For instance, due to watching TV too much, people tend to neglect and pay less attention to your workm, like jobs and studies. If I were you, I would control the time to watch TV in this following way.
Solutions;
I would not put TV in my room. I know I am a seducible person. I know my room is the most comfortable place in my house especially on my bed. Once I start watching TV in my room, it is almost impossible to turn off the TV and go back to my desk for my study. That is why I do not have TV in my room. Another soulution would be that I try to avoid staying my house and room. If I come back from school and stay my room for studying, I would think I need ten minutes break and then turn on TV. I am sure it will never be ten minutes break but 3, 4 hours break. In my case, I always study in the library or coffee shop near my school. You should shut down something tempt you in order to concentrate on studying without any disturbance. According to my experience, I used to check a few TV programs I was interested in on TV program list. I decided to watch TV within 2 hours daily. It was very helpful because I did not need to keep searching for TV program I want to watch. "TV program surfing" wastes most of our time kill our important time for studying. Good luck!!!

Re: Control the addiction to TV
Date: 11/16/2005

We closely live with electronic communication such as Internet and Television. In the post war era, the United States rapidly moved into the industrialization and economically prospered . In 1951, color TV was introduced in the U.S. Nowadays, most of the households have at least one TV in their house. Some might have two or three TVs. Our life tends to be influenced by TV.

Solution: set your schedule tightly. For instance, you might find other work or hobby to have funner than you have with TV. Do not have TV in your room. It tends to tempt you and steal your time.

It is very easy to watchig TV without thinking anything. TV makes you leave from reality. According to the survey by Nielsen Media Research, people in the United States watched TV in last season for 4 hours and 32 minutes on average. The reason why American watched TV for a long time is that American has more than 100 channels. They can always find one they are interested in. In proportion to time for TV watching, time for studying is decreasing compareing to that in 1980s. In addtion, bedtime hour for children is getting late and wake-up time is getting late as well. Thus, TV tends to disturb our life cycle. It is time to control yourself and prevent yourself from temptetion of TV.

Population crisis in Japan

In the begining of the twenty first century, Japan has faced the extremely difficult situation, called rapid aging of the population resulting from the decline in the birthrate. In the post war era, Japan had a baby boom in the late 1940s. At that time, one couple had three children on average. However, the birthrate has started to decrease since mid 1950s because of the amendment to Living Protection Law. , The law increased the rate of abortion and helped the diffusion of improved birth control technology. According to total fertility rate (TFR), each country need to keep 2.08 on TFR in order to maintain constantly its population. The TFR of Japan only have 1.29 in 2004. We need to consider solving the serious problem for the low birth rate for our future. This paper analyzes the solution for rapid aging of the population resulting from the decline in the birthrate from my point of view.

First of all, this is one of key reason that a lot of women participate in society. It was clearly differentiated the roles of males from those of females in our parents' age. However, most of females have worked as well as males do now. It causes not only a tendency to marry later in their life but also rising unmmaried female rate. Also, social base in our society for female who wants to come back to work after her childbearing has not established yet. We need to create generous society for women to come back to work whenever they want. For instance, it is important to improve babysitter system and expand day care centers. They would help to let females work without worrying.

Second, educational system largely influences on birth rate. Fro instance, most of children go to preparation schools to enter college, hish schools, even kindergarden, especially in Asia. If we can recieve good education in our school, nobody needs to go to extra school. This phenomenon results from decline in the quality of schools and teachers and academic society judgied by only acedemic level. Parents do not hasitate to spend a lot of money for kid"s educational fee. Hoever, they cannot afford to have second or third babies.

Definition of Terrorism

Terrorism is the violent and threatened action against civillians, their properties, and governments and societies. We call Terrorists who commit the action to achieve political, religious, or ideological objectives. They sometimes make the violent action to warn governments or countries as one of negotiation. Basically, terrorist would be racial, religious, and political minorities. In addition, person or groups who are inferior to opposite in terms of military strength, authority, budget. Since terrorist cannot fight agaisnt opposite face-to-face, they choose that kind of actions. I will give a few examples. In September 11, some guys highjacked passenger planes and attacked on the World Trade center. In terms of my definition, it is definitely a terrorism because militant group called Al-Qaeda unexpectedly offensed the strongest country in the world, the United States. another case is a Rwanda infighting. Although it was the ethical fight between Tutsi and Hutu, militant Hutu killed thousands of unarmed Tutsi even women or children. In my view, it is not terrorism but genocide. One terrorism causes disorder in society and throws people in a panic but basically it would not change political, religious, and any other condition. Terrorisms are scared because they are unexpectedlyand continueously happen in the world. It is the main purpose for terrorist to scare people by possibility of terrorism. Terrorists insist their political, religious, and ethical ideologies to stronger opposite by terrorism.

Timeline of Japan

1600-1868 EDO era(TOKUGAWA) Japan enters an age of peace and national isolation.
1868 -1912 MEIJI era The emperor is restored; Japan makes transition to nation-state.
1912-1926 TAISHO era Japan expands economic base within Asia and the Pacific.
1926 -1989 SHOWA era Japan experiences World War II and its aftermath, as well as economic recovery.
1989- the present HEISEI era Global issues foster debate.

By emergence of Tokugawa Ieyasu who was a syogun in Edo era, establishment of rigid social hierarchy relatively ensures peace and stability in Japan. In 1853, Commodore Matthew C. Perry came to Japan and could succeed to open japanese ports for the United States. In Meiji era, Bushi became solders, policemen, and teachers. Japanese first constitution was established based on german one, called Weimar constitution. Moreover, Political and educational reforms were operated. Ito Hirobumi became the first Prime Minister in 1985. The era between 1912 and 1926, is called "Taisho". Due to the alliance with England, Japan took part in World War I from 1914 to 1918. During this time, the Great Kanto Earthquick attacked to Tokyo area, and caused more than 100,000 casualties as a result. One decade later, worldwide financial crisis was happened, which badly influenced on most countries, especially capitalist countries. Due to the defeat in the World War II, Japan shifted to focus on economical growing. Afterward, Japan had a prosperious time, called the "High Growth Age" because of the booming economy. Now, Japan is having a difficult time to get out from the depression in Japan. The world economy has rapidly globalized in twenty one century. For Japan, it is more important to closely relate to economical relationship with the United States, China, Korea, ASEAN nations, and the other countries.

The criteria for an "A" and a "C" paper

Topic; Why does Japan need the privatization for postal services now?

"A" paper
-demonstrate immediate cause
Reduction of public sector
-demonstrate short term effect
It might bring about unemployment
-describe underlying cause
Due to recent economical diffuculty, government can not support postal service as a public sector any more.
-explain long term effect
Efficiency of the postal service to maximize profit. It will contribute to Japanese economy eventually.

"C" paper
-explain only cuase and effect without differing between short term and long term.
-cause and effect chain does not make sense.
-demonstrate breifly difference between before the privatization and after the privatization.

Destruction of the ozone layer

In twenty first century, We have to face on serious environmental problem, called destruction of the ozone layer. The ozon layer, which is the layer of ozone composed of three oxygen in stratosphere, protects people from harmful ultraviolet rays. The layer absorb and cut off the ultraviolet rays or the other harmful substance. Now, the ozone layer has been kept destroying by chlorofluorocarbon(CFC). The chlorofluorocarbon is emitted from factories, refrigerators, and spray propellants. The more people keep emitting CFC, the faster the ozone destruction. If destruction of the ozone layer occurs, the layer have holes, so-called Ozone holes. Under the condition, people absorb directly harmful ultraviolet layer, and have harmful affects on human body. As a result, the bad affect could cause a skin cancer or cataract. Moreover, it could be badly influenced on grain harvest. To avoid the environmental crisis, we all need to reconsider our life style using products which produce harmful substance for environment such as the ozone layer. In this century, individual effort must be important to live safety not only for us but also our children.

The IQ Paradox Resolved?

Hedging sentence;

1,The consequence of this is that improving childhood IQ does not necessarily mean that children will have high IQ when they are adults.

2,The most important criticism may be that this model lacks enough experimental validation.

3,There really have not been many recent studies done, so the data it is based on is outdated.

4,Though the Dickens-Flynn models posses a very interesting explanation and may be proven as acceptable models in the future,

5, Maybe once they address these problems, they can be accepted in mainstream science as a valid explanation and some day solve the IQ paradox.

6,Now thre needs to be some explanation of definitions so that the Dickens-Flynn models can be best explanation.

7, There are many interesting features that the Dickens n Flynn models allow.

8, The other condition for this is that the environment effect can not accumulate over time.

9,It means that in the future other things regarding environmental change can already be explained statistically.

10, In order to have a child's high IQ last, it is suggested that programs should encourage the continuance of replication of lessons long after they are done with the problem.

11,The criticism against the model is in may parts.

12, There have been several suggestions; Flynn's is just one of them

13, So since the IQ paradox was formed there has been some debate on what affects IQ.

14, The next criticism is that so far, experiments dealing with the Dickens n Flynn model have either had statistical problems or were unable to replicate.

15, The result could also be attributed to other factors, which is the third criticism.

16, Most of the other factors are the long term enviromental effects.

17, Even though the dickens n Flynn models allow for long term environmental effects, there may not be a sgnificant enough allowance for change over time.

18, Whould that person have to start over again to learn how to ride the bike or is the intelligence engraved in their mind?

19, Dickens' and Flynn's models would say the person would have to relearn the skill, which does not seem logical.

20, The last and maybe the most imortant is that the model allows for large changes in IQ variance where historically there is no real change in variance at all.

21, This basically means that at first the correlation between IQ and environment is constant and strong,

22, For the most part, it is universally accepted that there has been a rise i IQ level.

23, The Dickens-Flynn models seem to be one of the most popular explanations thus far but are still a little rocky.

24, From the analysis of the model there really seems to e too many statistical and theoretical blunders made in the development and implementation of the models.

25, As far as that is concerned, long-term environment can be affected by IQ.

26, an example of this is that IQ is known to correlate with socioeconomic status.

27, Even with these blunders these models could be the best explanation of the rise in IQ thus far.

28,If this model was reconsidered with some changes and major experimentd, it may be the best theory to explain the IQ paradox yet.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Why do you think the writer uses these hedges?

"to hedge" defines "To avoid a definite decision or commitment" or "to reduce one’s risk of loss on a bet or speculation by compensating transactions on the other side"* He is discussing IQ paradox based on his knowledge. Thus, he is not 100 % sure about his research. He is trying to avoid errors or mistakes on his research. We can use "hedging" depend on how much sure you are about the matter. It also depends on cultural difference. For instance, Japanese prefer using hedging to using assertion. They think it is respectful for others to hedge in their conversation. If a freind invites Japanese freind to his party, Japanese probably try to reply ambigously instead of saying "No", they believe it is their virtue. Is that a virtue??

Oral presentation

I attended a lecture given by Mr.Chitra Tiwari, a Washington-based freelance journalist. It was titled about monarchy at the crossroads;maoist insurgency. First of all, the speaker's intended audience was students, faculty members, and people who are interested in Nepali politics. Since he operates actively as a journalist, his purpose for this lecture was not to persuade us but rather inform current political situation of Nepal. Frankly, he did not be the audience involved, as far as I can tell. However, I surely realized that he established our credibility bacause of his conducted extensive research of Nepal politics. The lecturer, when he spole, did not seem confident or comfortable to speak. He kept mumbling and only some of them who was sitting around him understood what he said. In the end of lecture, he partially mentioned about Maoist and concluded the lecture by that. He is not professional speaker but professional journalist. That is why he did not use visual aids and even body language. Lastly, he gave chanece to audience to ask question long enough time. It was very good technique to discuss and share own knowledge. He would have done better, if he would have spoken more clear and try to get the audience attention.

Hilarry’s campaign tactic for 2008 presidential election

Since the last Presidential election in 2004, the various rumors have been running rampant not only in the United States but outside of the United States. As a world leader, all the countries of the world are paying a lot of attentions to the U.S presidential election. Among 2008 presidential possible candidates in both Republican and Democrat parties, one who has the highest public profile and the highest name recognition is a senate of New York states, Hilarry Rodham Clinton. As you know, she is former First lady of former President Bill Clinton. If senate Clinton were elected, she would be the first woman president in the United States.

Looking at other countries, several women leaders have come into existence and been active in the front line of government. For instance,President Megawati in Indonesia, President Arroyo in Philippines, President Mary McAleese in Ireland, and Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher in the United Kingdom. The world's first female president was the forth Iceland president, Vigdis Finnbogadottir. Born in 1930, she studied at the University of Iceland, the University of Grenonle, and Sorbonne University. Since she was elected as a president in 1980, she had served out for sixteen years until her retirement in 1996. In her third election in 1988, she obtained ninety two percent of the people’s support and showed enormous popularity.

On the contrary, no female president has not been born yet in the United States even though it is often said that it is prominent for the United States in women's social advancement rapidly. In current Bush administration, Condoleezza Rice, the United States Secretary of State, has been the highest position one has ever been. If senate Clinton becomes forty-forth President following to President Bush, She would be the female president in hegemon. In other words, she would be the strongest female President in the world. To the end, she needs to win in the primary election in 2006. Although she has a lot of strengths which nobody has and weaknesses as well. I will analyze them and discuss how she should develop tactics for nest primary election in 2006 and Presidential election in 2008.

Documentary; NEET

In recent years, the number of young people who do not want to study, work, even do part time jobs become larger. This social phenomenon has grewn into a serious problem in Japan. Last year, I always heard "NEET" on television and newspapers ,which stand for young people Not in education, Employment, and Training when I went back to Japan for vacation. One day, I watched documentary TV program about NEET. Accoring to Ministry of Health. Labour, and Welfare, five hundred thousand of people stay in home without working and studying in 2003. The number increased half time comparing to that in 1993. As the population age and fewer babies are born in Japan, It is serious problem that young people who are able to work but who do not want to work. In my opinion, it would cause collapse of social security and pension system. The phenomenon "Neet" is serious crisis not only for individual but also for whole of society. Watching TV and newspapers, they tend to criticize to individual, family and school. For instance, some of them were not good at communicating with others or faced bully when they were at school. Some of them felt stress and depressed by themselves while they looked for jobs or after they quit jobs. On the contrary, I believe both government and society have to make the most effort to creat generous society to accept "NEET". In my impression of works in Japan, Japanese work very hard and often work more than eight hours. However, it is not efficient way to work, like Japanese. Many people believe we could not have fun after we start to work. But, that is not true. We should enjoy our life even though we are working. In the United States, a lot of restraunts have happy hours during weekday. It would be one of the way that emplyee can take a week break. In japan, people cannot take longer than three days break easily. A lot of things government and society can do for young people. It would not make people lazy but keep being highly motivated.

Criteria;
Cause of economical difficulty in the future
Government and society's responsibility to accept young
Warnining for Overwork in Japan
Crisis related to diclining birthrate and a growing population of elderly people
Hopelessness for young in the future

Grandfather(Edited)

People who retired from their jobs concerned about how they enjoy in rest of their life. some of them might like to drink, climb mountains, or play sports. Some of them, unfortunately, might not be healthy to walk when they get old. Ivan's grandfather is 78 years old. He is not only able to walk well and play golf. In addition, he has been keep studying English every morning since he retired from his work. He is more active than average elderly people in any other countries. For example, people in Japan have the longest life span. On average in Japan, men live for 80 years and women live for 87 years old. Compared to Japanese life span, Ivan's granfather is very active person even though he is almost 80 years old. Surprisingly. he has from time to time traveled in the world. A few months ago, he went to contries in northern Europe such as Denmark, Norway, and Sweden. In place of tour guide, he helped tourists who could not speak English well. Actually, he wanted to become a professor and was interested in foreign history. That is why he has been highly motivated to study English in order to visit some areas he has been interested in. I believe there are a lot of things I can learn from him to prepare to enjoy in the rest of my life.

State Lotteries are Needed

State Lotteries are indispensable way to obtain revenue for some state governments. people have been enjoying lottery for more than 500 years. Also, peple can contribute state budget through voluntary taxation. Most of revenue come from lotteries is used by public goods such as education and transportation. Georgia is a representative of succeceful states by lotteries. Georgia took advantage of revenue from lottries for scholarship program abd early childhood program. At the same time, Georgia create a lot of jobs related to these rotteries and programs they help fund. The other states such as North carolina and South carolina which do not have state lotteries have bad effect on their state economies. Lotteries give us not only benefits but also risks. Adult need to control by themselves how they appropriately use their money. Considering the risks and failures, Adult should enjoy lotteries.

Hurricane katrina

Topic;
I work for the New Orleans Tourist Promotion Board, a branch of the city government responsible for promoting tourism to New Orleans. In the wake of the disaster, the tourist industry has been devastated. You’ve been hired as a consultant to advise our board on how to design a plan to revive our local tourism industry. The plan should cover the next year or two but should take long-term considerations into account also.

Key Questions;
What information is my reader expecting?
*What information about my topic is common knowledge?
brought heavy damage in Gulf coast
Still struggling with restoration of the desaster.
Most of the travelors who were supposed to go to New orleans and Luisiana cancel their
travels.

*What questions will readers have about my topic?
how government actively extend the restoration and development assistance.
When travelor can visit the devastated area safety.

*What do I know about this topic that I am fairly sure my readers don't know and would be
interested in?

*What information will be the most useful to my reader?
Light at the end of the restoration.

In the end of August in 2005, Hurricane Katrina attacked the Gulf coast of Louisiana and Mississippi. The damage occured by Hurricane Katrina was tremendously huge. People, especially in New Orleans have been struggling against difficulty and poverty. It became obvious difference between rich and poverty groups, and Bush administartion is under heavy pressure whether they can secure poverty group suffred from Hurricane.

Soon after the desaster, many travelors have canceled their trips to New Orleans. Since the city government in New Orleans obtains much budget revenue through tourism, it has been suffered big damage from the Hurricane Katrina. In my opinion, New Orleans Tourist Promotion Board, a branch of the city government, needs to do a couple things to revive their tourism industry.

First of all, the borad should make sure safety for quality of water and air. Some people worry about bacteria and virus which come from industrial water or household effluent. These two are basic nessessity for human beings to live. The board needs to prove here is unharmful place to visit for travelors.

Second, people do not want to go to unsecured and unstable area. People in the world watched on TV that people sufferd from Hurricane broke windows and stolen foods, water, and nessasity from supermarkets. The city needs to obtain security as soon as possible, and then the board should to explain and advertise how secure here is now.

Moreover, the board should predict such a horrible wethear. We cannot avoid that Hurricane reach to our city because it is a natural phenomena. However, we can predict when they come and how big they are. If we know the scale of the Hurrican and time to reach, we probably could minimize the suffering from the Hurricane, not like this time. Travelors can only visit the time when they obtain their secure.

Now, citizens suffered from Hurrican Katrina have been trying to restore their life. Restration of New Orleans is carefully watched around the world. It is very important for New Orleans that people from outside come and spend money. I suggest that the board build the memorial museum to keep reminding people of the total desaster.

Smart animal(Edit)

One of the surprising animal behavior is construction skills that some animal build houses or nests by themselves. Not only do human beings build their houses but also some animals do so. For instance, birds nest on a tree or branch. Also, rabitts, snakes, and ants dig holes to live under the ground.

A smart animal I would like to discuss is a sea otter. They prefer cold place to live, like Alaska, Canada, and Beiring strait. They live in the sea where water temprature degree is from 2 to 12 celcius. Moreover, Sea otters build their nests built by peaces of trees or branchs on the water by themselves. It is incredibly great construction even for people's standard. Although human being use tracks or cars when they bring blocks and cements, they gather pieces of trees or branches without any vehicles and tools. They are professional architect on the water.

FInal Writing Assignment ; Anger

According to reading “THE ANGER FACTOR”, Author mentioned in the first paragraph that venting may up the heart-attack risk. I partially agree with that idea. The reason why it causes heart attack risk is that anger makes blood pressure get higher. As Dr. Murray Mittleman at Harvard said, anger cause heart attack twice as people who do not get angry easily. From my experience, people would have stress when they get angry to someone. Many diseases come from stress and it makes our body have bad symptom. In addition, violence make blood pressure move up from 2 to 6 millimeters.

In second reading “THE GREAT CATHARSIS DEBATE”, author talked about catharsis hypothesis. The hypothesis said that people keep being less angry and aggressive. As Thomas Scheff suggested that people can avoid keep having anger by laughing and crying and then feeling would be improved and become more comfortable. In my case, I do not get anger often. In other words, I am trying to avoid getting angry to someone. It is meaningless to have anger to someone and sometimes hit somebody. In particular, I agree that the situation may become worse than it was before when people express anger. Iraq war is exactly good example. It has started by anger which caused in September 11th. In progress of democratization, it has kept deteriorating security in Iraq. Thus, I do not agree Jack Hokanson and his Florida State Univerity colleague’s study that retaliation produces some catharsis.

I suggest that not only too much anger is not good for yourself but also dealing with your anger by your self is bad. I do not suggest to violent and retaliate by means of getting rid of your anger.

Graphs for whales

These four graphs indicate how many whales were killed from 1950 to 1985. First graph is showing about number of the biggest whales killed which are Blue whales. According to first graph, the number of Blue whales killed at the peak of 1951, and had sharply decreased until they were extinct in 1969. The second largest whales, Fin Whales, were killed the most from 1954 to 1961. During the period, Number of the whales killed was flattening and abruptly fell down at the point of 1961. As far as I can see, the number of Sperm whales killed relatively fluctuated evenly from 1950 to 1975. In forth graph, I can see sharp equally line of mountain which is the peak in 1967. Thirty thousands of Sei whales which are the smallest whales were killed to the maximum in 1967. In my analysis, the smaller whales are, the later they were killed. As we know from four graphs, the biggest whales are extinct. Moreover, the other three whales are almost extinct in 1985. We did not have good enough tool to find and catch whales. It was relatively easy to find large whales at that time. However, the more progress technology for fishing, the easier to catch even small whales.

*This information will help travelers when they go to Japan and try real Japanese food.

Have you ever eaten Japanese food? Of course, I guess most of the people had Japanese foods in their life. Now, we can eat any kind of foods wherever we are. For instance, we can find Italian, French, Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese restaurants and so on even though we are in the U.S and even in African. Nowadays, one of the international famous foods, Japanese food, has been popular in the world, especially in the U.S. I have had the most famous Japanese foods such as Sushi, Tempura, and Teriyaki at Japanese restaurants in the U.S. People might be misunderstanding about Japanese foods. I would like to tell you what Japanese usually eat in Japan and give hidden information about Japanese foods, and I hope it would help when you visit Japan or go to Japanese restaurants.

At first, I’d like to tell how often people eat Sushi, Tempura, and Teriyaki. In my case, I eat Sushi once a month, tempura a few times a year and Teriyaki almost never. Actually, Japanese people rarely eat Teriyaki. I was very surprised the fact Teriyaki is popular as typical Japanese food when I came to the U.S. Instead of that, we eat Ramen which is a Japanese noodle. Some people eat Ramen once a day. There are thousands of ramen restaurants in Tokyo. It is very difficult to make soup stock based on chicken, pork, and many kinds of vegetables. It also takes more than one day to make the soup. Moreover, nobody can recognize the tiny difference of soup taste. That is one reason we cannot see many ramen restaurants in the U.S. I recommend you to have Japanese ramen if you have time to go to Japan.

In another point, we can find cheap foods in Japan. They are always expensive when I go to Japanese restaurants in the U.S. Japanese foods are not always expensive, especially in Japan. Ramen costs around five dollars to nine dollars. In addition, Japanese prefer healthy foods in order to consider well-balanced meal. One of well-balanced meals is Tofu. A block of Tofu costs only one dollar. Tofu has a lot of proteins and vitamins. Tofu prevents people from obesity. In Japan, you can easily find Tofu pub on the streets.

Of course, Sushi, Tempura, and Teriyaki are representatives of Japanese foods. You might be surprised the taste when you eat sushi at fish market in Japan. However, I want you to explore the other great Japanese foods in Japan. There are many tasty and cheaper foods. You can find the other aspects of Japanese people or culture through Japanese foods. I hope it would help you when you eat Japanese food next or travel to Japan.
